This website promotes the novel Renjiro: Sentinel by Maurice Todman and links to its listing on Amazon. It has no accounts, no forms and no checkout, so we never ask for your name, email or payment details. The book is written for readers aged 9 to 15, but this page is aimed at the parents and adults who buy it.
What this site collects
The site uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). We use it to see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads for the book are working. It records:
- that the page was viewed;
- that a "Buy the book" button was clicked, sending you to Amazon;
- standard technical details your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and Meta's cookie identifiers.
Meta may match this to a Facebook or Instagram account and use it to measure ads and show ads to people likely to be interested in the book. We only see totals, such as how many people visited or clicked. We can't see who you are.
The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
What happens on Amazon
The buy buttons take you to Amazon.com.au. Anything you do there, including buying the book, is covered by Amazon's own privacy notice. We don't receive your Amazon order or account details.
Your choices
- You can control how Meta uses activity from other websites in your Facebook ad settings.
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks tracking. The page works the same either way.
- Meta's Privacy Policy explains how it handles this information.
